At it's inside-search event today, google has done a lot of talking about search and has unveiled about two of it's biggest new developments: image search and voice search. The android style voice search is headed to chrome which initially provides support for english language only. That will be joined by the image search which is available as an extension for both chrome and firefox browsers. To use the latter feature, you simply drag drop the image into the search box or alternatively, you can cut-paste it there and then google tries its best to find the matches. Both these features will be rolled out over the next few days.

Google also announced their instant pages in another instance, which will promise a speed up in bowsing by pre-rendering the pages when "its confident that you are going to click them." It is available in the latest version of chrome today. finally, goole has also revamped its mobile search by adding a number of new shortcuts, enhanced search options and faster local results and a tailoed search feature that fits in the tablets. all of them rolling out today.
