Apple Inc. is trying to enter the mid-range phone market by working on cheaper, more versatile models of iPhone aimed at slowing down the advance of competing handsets based on Google's Android software. Apple has considered selling this new version of their iPhone at $200 off contract which is scheduled to hit the markets somewhere in this mid-year. Definitely a good news for those avid iPhone lovers but a nightmare to those mid-range phones in the market. They say this new phone of theirs is also going to support dual-mode: GSM and CDMA, which is quite interesting.

Thanks for providing this information. Teenagers are interested to buy iPhones, but it’s quite expensive. I’m sure after the price falls they will easily purchase it and Apple will get more users.
Apparently Apple wants to capture the middle range smart phone market too.
